About Mutiny

History

T10 hull number 311 was built in 1983 by Tartan Marine, The boat was on Long Island when it was purchased in 1999 by Richard Grunsten as part of the Voodoo racing program. At the time, a major retrofit was performed and the placement of the deck hardware was rethought and simplified. This layout has since been adopted by many other Tartan Ten racing boats.

Mutiny Today

In 2007 hull 311 was purchased by John Schellenbach. A former crewmember aboard the T10 JAWS, John renamed the boat to Mutiny as tribute to his time sailing aboard JAWS. When JAWS stopped racing in 2010, many of the former crew from that program joined the Mutiny.
